Booking Your Time

Morning and afternoon light is best for portraits. We can shoot all day if it's mainly cloudy. We will do our best to accommodate everyones schedule.

How to Prepare for your Session

Portraits look best when everyone is dressed in similar colors. Do your best to coordinate clothing: hair brush and makeup for touchups.Locations may be wet. Bring a blanket to accomdate the size of your group.With children and pets, come prepared with change of clothes [accidents happen], snacks and toys.If you're bringing the family pets, be prepared that we will be in a public location. There may be other pets in our area that may distract or upset your pet. Leashes are required at all times, and may be removed from final print. Cats or other animals...make sure you have them in a carrier for their safety.

Bailey's n Creme

Ok, that isn't her name, but I went to post this, and thought how cute. She is such an adorable Rottweiller. This is an image from a recent pet session with one of our clients.  Paul and I just love Bailey and her sister, Zoe who's not pictured here, well...because she was somewhere else obsessing about playing ball...LOL

The Breathtaking FIRE MAGIC

We were out at Dianne Olds Rossi's "Imagine! Dancing Horses" Open House this afternoon. Great event. Nice turnout. This was a glimpse of what's to come at the Extravanga on June 5th in Auburn, CA. This is Diane's prize stallion and performer, Fire Magic...a rare red Friesian - the only one in the United States.

Hard to Say Goodbye...

One of our dear friends and clients, Sylvia and her family had us do their family portraits this morning with their furr babies, Grace and Baby Girl. Baby Girl was recently diagnosed with cancer in her foot. And unfortunately, we will  lose her soon. It's always heartbreaking to lose a pet. For us, we are losing one of our special clients.... It is never easy. But we are so thankful to Sylvia and her family that we got to photograph them all together, happy and smiling. When she goes...she will be missed dearly. But we know that she will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge....

A Ranger Retires...

One of our Park Rangers is moving on to a new chapter in her life...

As a retirement gift, her co-workers had us do a photo session of Jane and her Rosie. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful spring day. The location was just gorgeous. We wish Jane the best in her retirement...and lots of carrots for Rosie. ;0)

Jako & Boo

Jako and Boo, loved having their portraits done this Valentine's morning. We had beautiful difused light streaming through the windows which gave them both such a soft look. They're both such sweet animals. As you can see, Jako loves his ball, and Boo...well, Boo just loves sitting in the window....away from the ball player.

Need an Overnight Pet Sitter?

Da Vinci Pictures provides professional, licensed, bonded & insured pet sitting services for the Elk Grove area including Laguna, Sheldon, Wilton and limited Calvine areas. We have always provided Overnight Services [**services on approval only]. Many pet sitting services that cover our area do not provide this service. If you are looking for a pet sitter who will stay with your pet overnight; providing a safe, normal environment for your pet that might have anxiety issues, or just for your own concerns for home safety...we are the service to call.

For clients in our normal service areas, we provide this overnight service including mid-day visits if required.

***We have also expanded our Overnight Services to the greater Sacramento, El Dorado areas. This service is for clients who only need overnight services only; provided their animal has outdoor access or normally remains in the house during the day.
